Yeah, OK. I can be a sucker for a cute cat video. If you’re not one of the 514, 568 who’ve seen this at the time of posting, then enjoy Prince hugging Witch – if only to see what a Sloth looks like!

I’ve always liked cats.
I’m a fan of dogs, of course, but cats just do it for me with that slightly snide cunning, that sense that they really are the sharpest tools in the box. In that spirit, meet Kido – a very cool cat who plays a shell game and wins every time.
That said, I think mine would rip my throat out if I tried to get him to perform on camera…
I share a house with Em and a large, black Norwegian Forest Cat.
He is going through a relatively cute and fluffy stage at the moment.
I may have a fresh set of lacerations on my left arm, but they are the first in quite a while and those who have encountered the beast will not be surprised to learn that he has chased a dog or two in his time. There’s something quite hilarious about the pomposity of a cat, puffed up, predatory, silently surveying his domain, before realising that the lack of prehensile thumbage means he needs to squeak for his supper.
Anyway, for those that think cats lack in the personality department, here’s one of many cat clip compilations – some of which show the sheer brutal CUNNING of the feline mind. Others simply made me giggle. I am easily amused!
This may not be news to many of you, but I have stumbled across a great little site which does exactly what it says on the tin: TV ad music.
Adverts are, occasionally, real works of art. The Guinness ads always stick in my mind as being genius. So often they are made all the more memorable by the music. The one that bugged me until recently was the new ad for Walkers Baked. It’s not a work of art by any means, but I do like the tune. To be honest, it struck me as a decent theme tune for my cat, a handsomely thuggish, black Norwegian Forest Cat (alongside the theme tune for the Crazy 88 in Kill Bill):

All these years of watching ads and wondering who wrote the music… Solved! And the answer was Air. Described as “French electronic knob twiddlers”.
